- The Kyi Leo is a small muscular little dog.
- They stand roughly 8 to 12 inches tall.

- These dogs can normally be found in black and white. On occasion, they may change color to a silver/gray and white.

- The Kyi Leo is a mix between a Lhasa Apso and a Maltese.
- The word “Kyi” means "dog" in Tibetan. The word “Leo” means "lion".
- This dog was recognized by the American Rare Breed Association.
