  • The Kyi Leo is a small muscular little dog.

  • They stand roughly 8 to 12 inches tall.

  • They typically weigh between 9 and 14 pounds.

  • These small dogs have a long coat that is relatively thick. However, it normally takes up to 4 years for the coat to reach full length.

  • These dogs can normally be found in black and white. On occasion, they may change color to a silver/gray and white.

  • The Kyi Leo is a mix between a Lhasa Apso and a Maltese.

  • The word “Kyi” means "dog" in Tibetan. The word “Leo” means "lion".

  • This dog was recognized by the American Rare Breed Association.
